European Space Agency (ESA) Presentation: Opportunities in ELIPS (European programme in Life and Physical Sciences) on the 28-May-2008

Dr Marc Heppener, Head of Science & Applications Division at ESA, will give a presentation on the ELIPS programme to interested researchers and SMEs
ESA's European programme in Life and Physical Sciences(ELIPS) is aimed at carrying out fundamental and applied research in life and physical sciences under microgravity conditions found onboard the International Space Station and by other means including parabolic flights, drop towers and sounding rockets. Although one of the major aims of ELIPS is to find scientific and technical solutions to enable long-duration human exploration in space, many societal benefits willaccrue here on Earth as a result of this research in the shorter term.
