In its 8th year, this international conference - Cognitive Dysfunction in Disease: Mechanisms and Therapies - will focus first on the genetic and molecular basis of cognitive functions and behavior, for instance learning and memory, attention and emotion. This understanding will lay the groundwork for presentations in the second part of the meeting on pathological mechanisms and new directions in the development of treatments for cognitive, psychiatric and neurological disorders such as autism, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder, Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.
