 PROGRAMME        FACULTY

This DMMC/Wyeth Course will be of interest to research students, academic staff and clinicians, whether contemplating a career in industry or doing translational research in academia. The lectures provide an overview of biopharmaceutical discovery, development and manufacturing, delivered by key staff from Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. A clinical perspective is provided by clinician scientists based at St James's Hospital.

Comments from participants on last year's Lecture Course:
  • "Excellent course - very insightful"
  • "Very good lectures and useful to get some real information from industry"
  • "I hope you will repeat this course. I found it very interesting to see the connection between my work and industry"

Please apply early to ensure your place. This course was very popular when it ran last year. Please not, online application is for the lecture course only (Tuesday 30 October).

In addition to the lecture course, there is a DMMC/Wyeth Molecules to Medicines Workshop taking place the following day (Wed 31 October). There are a limited number of places available on the workshop for postgraduate students with research experience (e.g. at least one year into their PhD studies). If you are interested in attending this workshop please send an email indicating your interest to education@dmmc.ie after you have applied for the lecture course. Please note, you must attend the lecture course as well as the workshop. The workshop was oversubscribed when it ran last year, so you are advised to apply early. Details of the workshop are here.
