Instructor Biography: Dr Seamas Donnelly (St Vincent's University Hospital, University College Dublin)

Dr Seamas Donnelly, is Director of academic Medicine at St Vincent’s University Hospital. His research work epitomises classical ‘bench to bedside’ translational medicine where key laboratory based scientific findings are directly assessed with regards to their importance in clinical disease (1, 2, 3). As a Respiratory Physician, his scientific observations have been translated to chronic inflammatory diseases of the lung including Asthma, Chronic Bronchitis, Lung Fibrosis and Cystic Fibrosis.
