Hypoxia
and epithelial cells; oxygen sensing
Dr
Cormac Taylor (UCD Conway Institute of Biomolecular & Biomedical Research)
This lecture will entail an introduction to the concept of organomaintenance. The continued survival of adult tissue requires constant cell regeneration and adaptation to environomental change. Such processes can also underlie pathologic events such as tumor development. In this lecture we will discuss cell regeneration, tissue function and angiogenesis.
