DMMC Course: MOLECULAR CELL BIOLOGY IN ACTION
0930-1050 Monday 7 February 2005. Conway Institute Lecture Theatre, UCD
Hypoxia and epithelial cells; oxygen sensing Dr Cormac Taylor, UCD
This lecture will entail an introduction to the concept of organomaintenance. The continued survival of adult tissue requires constant cell regeneration and adaptation to environomental change. Such processes can also underlie pathologic events such as tumor development. In this lecture we will discuss cell regeneration, tissue function and angiogenesis.
